Condition Monitoring training

SPM Academy offers two SPM-specific training courses. The participant learns about shock pulse and vibration measurement techniques with the handheld instruments Leonova Diamond/Leonova Emerald and the latest version of the Condmaster Ruby diagnostics software.

Basic course in Condition Monitoring

A basic course in shock pulse- and vibration measurement intended for users of the instrument system Leonova Diamond/Emerald. No previous experience is necessary. The course includes an overview of the SPM® method and vibration measurement according to ISO standard, as well as identify bearing defects with the SPM HD® and HD ENV® techniques. After completing the course, you will have the basic skills to be able to evaluate simple applications. You have also learned the basic functions of the software program Condmaster® Ruby so that you can create measuring points, set up measuring rounds, and communicate with the instrument. You will also master the instrument thanks to the practical measurement exercises.

The focus for this training is creating measuring points in Condmaster® Ruby and practical use of the Leonova Diamond and Emerald instruments.

Advanced course in Condition Monitoring

The Advanced course in condition monitoring is intended for users who want to learn more about machine analysis using the Leonova Diamond/Emerald.

For maximum benefit from the course, you should have completed Basic course in condition monitoring or have good knowledge of the shock pulse measurement, and basic knowledge of vibration measurement according to ISO standard.

The course includes spectrum analysis and how to configure the measuring points to detect different machine faults. After completing the course, you will have the necessary theoretical knowledge to evaluate faults like bearing defects, unbalance, misalignment and very simple gearbox analysis. You will also learn about phase measurement and how this is useful in machine analysis.

The focus for this training is configuring measuring assignments and analysis of measuring results in Condmaster® Ruby.
